This is Oregon's City of Sunshine with an
average of almost 300 sunny days per year - Southern Oregon's
best kept secret for fabulous scenery, wildlife, birding,
outdoor recreation, quality of living surrounded by natural
beauty and affordable real estate.
Klamath Falls has the advantages of steadily increasing
attractions, city beautification projects and solid employers,
all in an area of wonderfully natural scenic beauty and abundant
wildlife. Located on the eastern edge of the Cascade Mountains,
Klamath Falls is only 20 miles north of California via Hwy 97,
an easy drive to Sacramento, San Francisco, Reno and Portland.
The Klamath Basin is an internationally renowned wildlife area
on the Pacific flyway. The peak fall migration concentrates over
1 million birds. Also an important nesting area for American
White Pelican, Cinnamon Teal, Northern Shoveler and Great Egret,
and more than 1,000 Bald Eagles winter in the area - the largest
gathering of Bald Eagles in the contiguous United States.
